SMVS ORGANIZATION
It is the goal of every human being to attain everlasting happiness. In search of this happiness man has adopted the material path of science and technology. This material progress has made his life comfortable and full of amenities.
Achievements during the last several years are amazing, from nuclear science to space science, from scooter to missiles, and from cellphone to internet.
Thus, means of happiness and prosperity have increased but a search for attaining everlasting happiness is still going on.
Despite of the search for everlasting happiness and peace being going on for centuries, man is still in the same situation that is running after material happiness. Hence mental stress has become the bi-product of materialism.
Nowadays serious problems are arising due to this reason in the nations progressing materially by leaps and bounds. Surprisingly, amidst this society, there are people living divine life with faith and spiritual attitude.

To lead everyone on the path of spirituality, Lord Swaminarayan firstly commanded everyone to live a pious and divine life with high moral standards.
And these commandments of Lord Swaminarayan were spread in the society by the greatness and holiness of his saints.
This saints who are full of compassion while travelling length and breathed of the society nurture the high ideals, virtues and doctrines which cannot be acquired even by studying for various degrees in a university.
Among such holy saints was the spiritual heir to Lord Swaminarayan, Reverend Gopalanand swami, who was the nearest and the dearest saint of Lord Swaminarayan.
Reverend Nirgundasji swami preserved the spiritual heritage of Reverend Gopalanand swami. Thereafter Reverend Ishwarcharandasji swami, Reverend Vrundavandasji swami, Reverend Muni swami Keshavpriyadasji became the inheritor of this spiritual heritage.
At present if there is some radical charismatic personality, who is spreading the supreme spiritual doctrine, faithful and divine life, high ideals of culture of such a holy and great grand tradition to millions of people in the society, then he is reverend H.D.H. Shri Devnandasji swami popularly known as H.D.H. Bapji.

Just as in a reputed hospital doctors are very experienced similarly in the hospital of souls i.e. temples, H.H. Satyasankalpdasji swami and reverend saints who are having unvarying closeness to accompany of god are trained as experienced doctors by the commune of H.D.H. Bapji.
Such saints are performing very well the fundamental work of building character which doctors, engineers and advocates can’t do.

Character is the foundation of life and only saints can mould it. In this country or abroad, it is only saints who build the character.
The sterling qualities of saints of Swaminarayan sect are that they completely forsake woman and money and they observe celibacy. These saints are constantly aware of their spiritual vows of observing non-lust, non-greed, humbleness, and detachment and non-gourmandize (non-taste). Also they are benevolent. They have contributed immensely in molding character of the society.
Life of such saints who keep the said five vows and who have good moral characters are shaped by the commune of H.D.H. Bapji and H.H. Swamishri which results into inimitable renaissance in the society.
Today the world is facing burning problems like terrorism, burglary, deceit, fraud, conspiracy, murders, rape, corruption, addiction etc. The permanent solution of all these problems is bestowing proper culture to a child and also his character building by saints from his very childhood who is the root of the society. “We can bend the tender plant as we like”, likewise we can shape the character of a child at his tender age. So our organization has established BAAL SABHA (Assembly for children in the age group of 7 to 14 years). In these baal sabhas various activities such as prayer, dialogues, discourses, inspirational dramas and cultural programs are performed to inculcate culture and build their character.
Just like sculptor removes worthless portion of the stone and shapes out statue from it, similarly SMVS brings out the divinity, potentials and talent of the teenager (Age group of 15 to 30 yours) through Kishor sabha (Assembly) and various kinds of workshops for teenagers known as Kishor shibir (Camps).
Kishor sabhas perform various activities for the uplift of the society. Kishor sabha, Kishor shibir, tours and picnics, various campaigns, group pooja, dialogues, discourses and inspirational dramas and such other activity build the character of the teenagers.
When the level of moral standard and honesty are declining in the society, H.D.H. Bapji has established yuvak sabha (Age group of above 30 years) to preserve moral standards, to inculcate high level of morality, code of conduct of religion, doctrine, divine life in the youth.
Owing to commune of saints through yuvak sabha the doctrines are being nurtured in the youth. Youth are engaged in various activities such as cultural, atmiya campaign, divine workshops, dialogues, inspirational dramas, discourses etc.
It is said that one mother is equal to hundred teachers, looking to this, women also have significant place in Swaminarayan sect. In this gender, girls, teenagers, women are also engaged in similar cultural & spiritual activities.
Apart from such cultural and spiritual activities, SMVS is also engaged in various social activities.

Millions of children, teenagers, youths and adult men and women are entangled in addiction and are being ruined in almost all the countries in the world. The demon of addiction assumed many forms to devour people. They become victims of intoxicating things such as heroin, cocaine, hemp, opium, alcohol, tobacco, cigarette etc. and ruin themselves and their family economically, emotionally and physically. Hence SMVS has started campaign of de-addiction to save millions from being ruined.
The youth is engaged in service of cleaning hospitals during cleanliness campaign. As also for the physical and other comfort of the patients, children, teenagers, youth and women are also engaged.

Similarly during floods volunteers of SMVS are always ready to help out to people who are entrapped in floods. During famine fodders are provided to the animals, sympathy and love are exhibited towards the innocent souls.
Over and above this, blood donation camps, dental camps, eye camps, are organized; ShreejiBapa medical center and ShreejiBapa Pathology Laboratory are established by the organization as part of its social service.
For uplift of tribal community, tribal community communion, apparel donations, veterinary camps, free distribution of notebooks and such other various activities are organized by SMVS.
In a country like
Nowadays culture, character and spirituality are becoming extinct in modern education system. Under these circumstances, in gurukul at Swaminarayan Dham campus at gandhinagar, students are taught lessons of ideal life and culture along with the foundation of their bright carrier. With spiritual advancement, ideal character is also built. Therefore they appear in examinations without any supervisor in the classroom. Yet nobody ever thinks of copying.
